Sotheby Creates Record through Wine Auction

The Sotheby’s auction house claimed that it sold a record $6.76 million of wine in Hong Kong in 2010, more than it sold the world over in 2009, reports Reuters. Sotheby’s raised $11.34 million through wine auctions worldwide. It raised $5.37 million in 2009.

“This has been a landmark year,” Serena Sutcliffe, global head of wine at Sotheby's, said. “We achieved our largest-ever total and now hold the record for a standard-sized bottle, a bottle in any format and for a wine lot sold at auction.” The amount is highest in the company’s 40 years of wine auctions.

Both Sotheby’s and the rival auction house Christie’s said that Hong Kong has emerged as the world centre for wine auctions and outpaced the combined sale of London and New York.

More than 60 percent of the world's best wines are now bought by Asian collectors through Hong Kong auctions.

Trump famously doesn't drink because of his brother, Fred. It looks like he just had a sip of wine. Has anyone else seen that before?

Very intelligent post. I knew of this vote scanerio but was not compelled to participate until I read this. For what its worth, I voted for the ball to spend its remaining years on Earth in beautiful Cooperstown NY. I have not had a problem with the performance-enhancing drugs others have. The ball belongs in the Hall! dqdhgvshl [link=]tjmvobhzxl[/link]
Yes, you can just contact an aoictun house. If they think it has any value they'd be happy to look at it, or a photograph of it. And check around, there are more aoictun houses than you think that specialize in specific types of items.
You must have two of these or how could you let one go! The photos show Jackie's great style, but I adimre that is looks REAL as though someone was actually living their life and not decorated like a photo shoot.
Super exeictd to see more of this kind of stuff online.
Inegeliltnce and simplicity - easy to understand how you think.

One of the things I have been stssering in comments to at least a couple blogs is, FINRA is now "policing" trades on the NYSE. The question (and it is semi-rhetorical question) is this: Can we trust a self-regulating association to do a proper job??? I think we have seen multiple examples recently of how self regulation almost never works (take for example Larry Summers' double chin). I think since policing trades is a very important function, which is now overseen by FINRA on the NYSE, this is a another major catastrophe in the making, and only a matter of time before FINRA will become another Minerals Management Service. Good points all around. Truly aparecipted.
A MDean Kruse owes my husband a lot of money. We wakled away from the auction with a promise to be paid the $515,000 within 30 days. That was back in September of 2009. Clayton Manthey (my husband) and I have gone broke trying to get this crook to pay up. We have a great attorney in Indiana but the process has been very slow. Any new information on Kruse would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me at . Or my husband at . We are aware that Kruse and his wife filed bankruptcy on Bunker Hills. How can this man still be doing any kind of business? What a scumbag. Thanks for reading.
