$8 Supermarket Wine Gets Top Honours at Wine Awards
If you thought inexpensive supermarket wines were not as good as their expensive counterparts, you need to think again. An $8 rosé wine from Aldi, the German supermarket chain present all across the US, has earned a silver medal at the International Wine Challenge.
The wine, named ‘The Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rosé’, won the silver medal at the challenge, reports Chron.com.
According to the report, the judges appreciated the wine because it had some "ripe summer stone fruits with generous acid palate and crisp bright finish."
This is very good news for people who like drinking top-class wine but don't always like spending a fortune on it.
