Wine tours in India - a new lifestyle statement!
Wine Tours are getting popular in India by the day. Every now and then, I get to hear many of my friends from Mumbai and Bangalore are boasting about their wine tour experiences in our usual weekend party circles. Kitty party gossips are abuzz with stories from weekend wine country fun and frolics. Nashik, they call it Napa Valley of India. is a hot-spot vineyard tours. Where there is wine, there would obviously be women, fashion and gossips :-). I believe, The Wine Club – Vineyard Tours are good. One of my friends went with The Wine Club team, she had a gala time over there. She and her new found boyfriend had a rollicking weekend visiting 3-4 vineyards/wineries, tasting some good wines and picking up what they call some boutique wines directly from the winery. How exciting! The wine educator was quite good... or good looking I was can't remember what they told :-) This time around I plan to take a trip with them and go from Pune with one of my batch mates... hope I would also come back with lots of good wine and stories to share for my party circuit.

It makes me so nostalgic -- the winery hopping at Napa-Sonoma -- the cheese and wine tasting -- it's all coming back. But the most moving experience was to witness a wedding in a winery. With more themed weddings on these days, winery themed weddings could even lure the young Indian couples. What say?
